Matt – i like that offseason approach a lot. first off – you will always be chasing a tangible goal. second, you arent just going through a long gaining phase and getting to the point where youre wondering/hoping youre still making progress but arent 100% sure. i remember my last gaining phase i got to the point my food was very very high, training volume high, body weight had plateaued, and i wasnt really sure if i was making actual physique progress or not

what do you think about staying at a weight for a while to “own” that weight and truly make it a set point and hold onto that new muscle? that would be my only hesitation trying what youre doing
