Oct 30 – Chest

This was the first workout so far this off season where things felt off so I am saying this because I want you guys to know that it happens to me too. Not sure if it was just the gym or possibly new movement or what but my strength was sub par to put it best. Hard not to get frustrated but I tried to just do my best to exhaust my chest even though the weights were down through different means.

Smith 30 degree incline

Barbell Flat Bench
(this is where I knew things were off but just rolled with it and made the most of it)
315 x 8 (this felt unusually heavy to me)
365 x 3 (yup something off) / Turned it into a drop set / 315 x 4 / 225 x 6

(here I am trying my best to get a full contraction through the chest without bringing the DB’s all the way together and then going into a pause at full stretched position. Slow eccentric lowering)
