I have always heard that the worst cardio is the bicycle. It is too light cardio and only compromises the quadriceps, especially if you apply resistance. On the other hand, a cardio walking with a good rhythm, for example, is more complete and divides the tension better between quadriceps, hamstrings, gluts, etc. It does not focus as much on the quadriceps and the tension is more distributed, which also implies greater caloric expenditure.
